Clinics need a better search functionality to help them find/narrow down results when using it with incomplete pieces of information.
Digitail will upgrade the "general" search feature with:
- A vet user will be able to search for Pet Parents and Patients by using multiple parameters (Patient’s name, Client’s name, Microchip number, rabies tag, client phone & email).
- Much Improved UX:
- The user will be made aware of searching alternatives by reading some of the possibilities put as placeholder text in the search bar
- Results that match the search string will be highlighted. If applicable, multiple matches should be highlighted. Highlights can be full or partial.
- Results will display the patient's cards with the following information: Patient's name, Clinic number, Microchip/Rabies tab/Healthcard Numbers, Species, Sex, and reproductive status, Owner's name, and contact details (phone, email)
- If no results match the search input, then the system will show the results closest to the string.
Search results will display contact owners as well.
If the ' show archived' checkbox is selected, it also searches and displays pets that are archived. By default, the checkbox is not checked.
Users will be able to use multiple multiple parameters in conjunction (E.G: Client’s name and patient’s name, John Doe + Fluffy)
